Grant Thornton Cyprus was awarded with a certificate of participation in the Business Integrity Forum (BIF), established in Cyprus by the Cyprus Integrity Forum (CIF).

Mr. Stavros Ioannou, CEO of Grant Thornton Cyprus, received the certificate of participation from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Integrity Forum, Mr. Marios Skandalis, during a press conference that was held on November 19, 2019 at the company’s headquarters in Nicosia.

Mr. Ioannou mentioned “For us at Grant Thornton, it is imperative that our actions have a positive impact on the environment in which we operate, and consequently on  our society. Values ​​such as ethics, integrity, responsibility and transparency underpin our every decision; they are an integral part of our culture for which we are extremely proud. The behaviour of our people when working with our clients, but also when supporting the wider society reflect these values. Our participation in the Business Integrity Forum is a significant milestone for us, as it recognises our efforts and demonstrates our appreciation for all the actions and initiatives of the BIF. We are committed to the common goals  aimed at encouraging Cypriot businesses to contribute to the efforts in fighting corruption, enhancing accountability and transparency.”

The Business Integrity Forum (BIF) is a network of major international companies, convened by Cyprus Integrity Forum (CIF), dedicated to cooperate with member companies who wish to reach the highest standards of business integrity. Members publicly demonstrate support for the mission and values of CIF and are openly committed to high anti-corruption and ethical standards in business practices. So far, the members of BIF are: PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Ancoria Bank, Bank of Cyprus and our new member Grant Thornton Cyprus.

The Cyprus Integrity Forum (CIF) was established in 2011, and is an independent, neutral non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit organization legally registered in the competent bodies of the Republic. Our mission is to contribute to the strengthening of society and improve the quality of public and private governance in Cyprus by promoting transparency, integrity and taking responsibility. Some of the priorities: to increase the public perception regarding the impact of corruption; strengthen and encourage citizens to participate in the fight against corruption
