Cyprus has approved a comprehensive tax reform package that has come into effect from 1 January 2026, introducing significant amendments across multiple tax legislations and reshaping the country’s tax landscape for individuals and businesses alike.
The reform touches on core areas of taxation, including Income including Income Tax, Special Defence Contribution, Capital Gains Tax, the Assessment and Collection of Taxes, the Collection of Taxes and Stamp Duty.
These changes are expected to have far-reaching implications for corporate structures, investment decisions, employment arrangements, wealth planning, compliance processes and cross-border transactions.
