Monica is the AI and Data Lab Leader at Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd.
She is a professional with more than 10 years of experience, in the UK and Cyprus and specialises in the development and integration of technology solutions for organisations, across industries. She holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bath, an MSc in Risk Management from the University of Southampton and is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA - ICAEW).
Monica has been involved in the development of AI solutions for various industries, including finance, healthcare and maritime, leaving a mark on both local and European landscapes. She has expertise in developing Machine Learning models for forecasting and optimisation solutions as well as deep learning algorithms for Natural Language Processing models.
The combination of her technical and business skills bring a unique approach to tackling and understanding each organisations’ needs. Monica is also a Scrum Master and a Certified trainer with HRDA, empowering individuals with non-technical backgrounds to navigate the complexities of AI and digital transformation tools. She is also the chair of ICAEW’s Data and Analytics community and has published a series of articles on AI.
